The goals of the Chilliwack Fire Fighters Charitable Society are to:

1. To receive and manitain a fund or funds to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom , from time to time , to charitable organizations that are also registered charities under the Income Tax Act (Canada).
2. To provide bursaries for scholastic achievement and continuing education.
3. To relieve poverty by providing basic amenities to persons of low income.

Chilliwack Firefighters Charitable Society has been busy donating money to local charities this past 2009 year!
-Ann Davis Society , Chilliwack Safety Village , Chilliwack Children’s Foundation and the Chilliwack Hospital Expansion have all received $1000 or more.
-The BC Firefighters Burn Fund received over $2400 from the Charitable Society .
-A local student received a $500 bursary.
-The City of Chilliwack employees helped out local families in need over the Christmas season and the Charitable Society assisted with a $500 donation.
-The society also supported Chilliwack Community Services with donations for Youth Services , in 2009 the Charitable Society donated over $500
